Scenario Output Files
If the number Nrpt of measurements for each scenario position is greater than 1, two output text files with the same name will be created: one with an extension txt, the other with an extension rkd. If Nrpt = 1, only the txt file will be created.
-
The txt file contains the results of each individual measurement, i.e., there are Nrpt data rows for each stub triplet setting. The format of the txt file is the same as described in the Saving Results to a Text File topic. In addition, two columns are included:
Pa_kW: Absorbed power (net power delivered to load).
WinTime: Date/Time coded in Microsoft Windows style (the decimal part is a fraction of one day).
-
Each row of the rkd file contains the mean values of those Nrpt measurements, i.e., there is only one data row for each stub triplet setting. The format is the same as in the txt file. In addition, each row of the rkd file includes standard deviations of the measured quantities, enabling you to detect potential problems (e.g., magnetron instability manifesting itself as frequency hopping). The details can then be studied in the associated txt file. The names of the deviation columns start with d, e.g., df_MHz for frequency.
The quantities dMag and dMagL are standard deviations u, uL of the input (GI) and load (GL) reflection coefficients, respectively. They are not computed merely from magnitudes: they are uncertainty circle radii, representing the scatter of the reflection coefficients in the complex plane (see topic Measurement Accuracy). They are computed as
where sx and sy are, respectively, standard deviations of the real and imaginary parts of the respective reflection coefficient. Thus, for example, if the magnitude of the reflection coefficient is constant but its phase fluctuates, u will still be nonzero.
The WinTime is added at the very end of each row.

If the output files have been obtained using a loaded scenario (sce) file, and if this sce file had been created by the Create Scenario procedure of the Homer simulation program HoSim, then the rkd file can contain additional columns, representing the desired (scenario) reflection coefficient in polar form (columns Mag_sc, Dg_sc), the same in the rectangular form (Re_sc, Im_sc), and the frequency in MHz (f_sc) for which they were synthesized using the tuner.
